The family-run company was founded by Giuseppe Bolla at a time when Italy, after the war, was regaining the productive and economic momentum.
However, the discovery of a document stating the company insurance position confirms that the "manufacturing of moulded rubber products and of the necessary moulds" began as early as 1942 in the historical headquarters of via Lionetto 29 in Turin.
Today, Sapat is run by the fourth generation, still focused on the moulding of technical rubber and silicone products.
The company is currently run by me, Maria Teresa Bolla, with the valuable contribution of my son, who represents the fourth generation of our family in the company.
I have been breathing the smell of rubber since I was born. After finishing high school, I began working alongside my father in running the company. I continued during my university years until I took on a leadership role.
Over the past 20 years, my involvement in the company has become almost total, and today I can say I feel rewarded because, together with my son, I know that I can successfully run a company that is part of our family history.
Sapat has obviously specialised over the years, especially in the production of items for the automotive and earthmoving equipment markets.
In these sectors, customer’s requirements and specifications are more specific, but the Turin-based company continues to invest in modern and technologically advanced machinery and tools. Among the products, Sapat has manufactured safety parts for hydraulic brake circuits in motor vehicles, specific and detailed components requiring state-of-the art techniques.
For some years the company has transformed its manufacturing system into Industry 4.0 to optimise and have greater control over the manufacturing process in order to guarantee increasingly higher quality levels.
The combination of a production policy aimed at satisfying production and quality requirements, and the collaboration with competent and efficient personnel, has proven successful.
Today, Sapat manufactures a wide range of products and complex technical parts, available both from the catalogue and customized according to Customer’s drawing.
